Can spin protocols be translated into bosonic or fermionic mode models?

Construct explicit encodings and compare preparation and measurement costs under specified particle-number and mode constraints.

Working mathematical formulation

Give an explicit encoding between a distinguishable-spin model and a bosonic or fermionic mode model, with specified particle number, accessible modes, and operations. Determine which spin-sector statements translate and how preparation and measurement costs change.

Why this is interesting

Antisymmetry in the spin state of labeled qubits is not itself fermionic statistics. A faithful dictionary could nevertheless reveal useful algorithms and constraints.

A place to start

Translate a four-spin recoupling experiment into one concrete mode encoding and identify any additional occupation or superselection constraints.
